Diagnostic Services
Children and youth, ages ten up to twenty-one, who have been adjudicated dependent or delinquent and are in need of an in-depth assessment in order to determine treatment and or placement needs can be referred for this service.
This assessment is conducted over a 43-day period in a highly structured setting which provides behavioral controls in a therapeutic milieu. Children admitted to the program attend an on-campus school provided by Lincoln Intermediate Unit #12 and can take advantage of in-house and community based recreational opportunities. The child’s family is encouraged and expected to participate in the assessment process. The diagnostic evaluation includes: psychiatric evaluation, psychological evaluation, psychosocial assessment, educational assessment, drug and alcohol assessment, group living assessment and medical and dental examinations.
A comprehensive report, which includes specific treatment recommendations, will be available at the end of the assessment period to assist in the planning process for the child.
