Our History
The Children’s Aid Society of Franklin County is a private, non-profit human services organization founded in 1884. Established as an orphanage, the agency has grown and evolved through the years in response to the growing needs of children.
The broad spectrum of services provided include: foster care, adoption services through the Statewide Adoption Network, emergency shelter care, residential care and diagnostic services. The agency utilizes community based services which include outpatient counseling, family counseling and substance abuse counseling with an emphasis on education and prevention.
Children and youth across Pennsylvania are served by these programs which are available 24 hours a day.
