Part-time (Evenings & Weekends)
Responsible for the management and supervision of the students in a Residential Setting, in a climate favorable to the healthful growth and development of each child. Counselors must work together as a team and will provide daily physical care, social and moral guidance, discipline and, in collaboration with other staff members, carry out the prescribed service plan and Individual Service Plan for each child in accordance with prescribed policies and regulations.
A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and a current Driver’s License is required. The main function is to assess potential foster families, write foster home assessments, as well as help families achieve permanency by writing Statewide Adoption and Permanency Network Family Profiles and completing the Adoption finalizations process. This position requires demonstrated ability to learn specific skills and a willingness to maintain competency through use of training and supervision. Candidates must demonstrate excellent writing skills and strong computer skills.
